XP CD writing vs Nero writing

Since you can write to CD's in XP, which is better for simple writing to CD of large MP3 files(600 meg>), Nero or XP writing capabilities?

If you like Nero, use it. The packett writing in XP [drag and drop] Is better than InCD or Direct CD, but that's all I have used. I use both Nero and Easy CD Creator in XP and each one has it's strong points. If it's a matter of having to buy new software, give XP a try before you spend any more money. My son says he uses XP for music files and likes it. I've never used it for that because I'm used to the other programs, but if the packett writing is an indication, XP should do just fine. It is Roxio software.

The Roxio (Adaptec) CD writing software has really gone down hill in my opinon. It is about as reliable as the Chicago weather. Nero will do it all. If you are going to be burning Different types of cd's use NERO.

I would have agreed with you a month or so ago. They really screwed up the works with XP, and I never could get it to work on my system. They went through about four different update procedures to get it to work on XP, and I tried them all. The last set of updates worked for me, and it works just as well as my Nero does now. I switched to nero out of desperation when I upgraded to XP. ECDC4 had worked flawlessly for me in 9x, so naturally I upgraded to 5.0, and it turned out to be the nightmare on Elm Street of software. It truly left me aggravated, but when it works as it should it is an excellent program. Your point is valid though, because no software should cause a large segment of users so many problems, and Nero has been by comparison trouble free.
