RobD,

If you are booting with a Win95,98 emergency bootdisk, A:\ prompt is what you get. You can type in HELP for further instructions or FDISK for partitioning and formatting.

Hi RobD

& Just out of curiosity: why did you need the emergency boot? If you need to restore the setup of a major brand computer, that will be on a Recovery CD, usually: with several options (restoring just an operating system, a set of programs, or a complete re-format and re-install back to what you had when you first bought your computer)... The third option will erase anything added since you bought it.

Thanks Gary
The emergency boot was only to verify that the floppy disk had not been corrupted in any way(just in case the unthinkable DID happen!).I have used the recovery floppy on this damn pooter a few times already.
