Not sure if virus on XP?
Not sure. But some of my programs on my desktop, have different icons then the original. Like just yesterday, My counter-strike icon was my HP ScanJet icon, and today my quicktime player's icon is now the Scanjet icon. What's going on?

When in doubt, check it out. Scan for a virus, boot from a known virus free disk, usually it can even be the virus program itself.

It happens once in a while! Not to worry. I've never seen it be virus related.
Just go get TweakUI from Microsoft. Install that, and then do the "rebuild icons" option. It will repoint the icons to the proper exe's and refresh them. |
