desktop icon font

How would I make the color of the desktop item descriptions a different color? Right now they're white, and I can't get them black.

thanks

They appear to be controlled by the desktop color selection - I just experimented - with a black desktop the font is white, with a white desktop the font is black. Red desktop makes them white. Icon font color selection button is grayed out. I'm wondering if enabling themes might give you extra functionality - I'm running win2k which has themes turned off by default.
