Dual Boot Changes

I am currently running win98se and 2000 dual boot on my computer. I have finally weened myself of the 98se and want to change that partition to XP.
Question: when I installed 2000 I did it from the SE,will I loose the boot manager if I wipe the SE and install the XP??
If so I might just back it all up and go xp all the way..TIA

No, it shouldnt. Just to be sure boot to 2000 then put in the XP cd and be sure and choose 'clean install' and then pick the same partition that 98 was on.
