strange
Something really strange happened just the other day. When running winXP I go to shut it down same way I always do, when it gets to that blue menu screen saying that windows is shutting down ect... my computer shuts compleatly off, but my monitor still shows the same menu screen on it, mouse pointer and all, of coarse the mouse pointer wouldnt move at all, because the computer was shut off. This is a LCD flat panel monitor. This was the first time I have ever seen anything like this though. Anyone else ever see anything like this?

Yes it did, and when I turned it back on it did the usual 'No Signal' that flashed a few times. It only did just the one time too.

Are you using an extra long cable for your monitor? or a KVM switch? It could be an issue with the cable, or sometimes even the RF filtering on the video card that seemed to have caused that unusually slow response.

No, pretty short cable (the one that came with the monitor) RF filtering??? I use a cordless mouse and keyboard and the receiver sits pretty close to the monitor. but to me is seemed more like the picture was not a slow response, but more like my monitor froze up (and not my computer, imagine that)
