Re-installing Windows after Linux

When you have previously had Linux installed on your hard drive how do you go about re-installing Windows again?

woofer, all I did was use a Win98 boot disk and fdisk the hard drive. Also because I used grub for a bootloader I had to fdisk/mbr also.

Do you mean you want to keep Linux? If so, you need to reinstall and configure your boot loader.

Boot off Windows CD. Delete the current non-dos partitions, create and format new partitions, and install. Good luck.

You may have to fdisk/mbr or zero out the drive to get rid of the Linux bootloader, just deleting the partition isn't enough.

If installing XP or 2K, the bootloader gets removed just fine, if not you might have to remove it manually.
You might have issues if you used multiple extended partitions on the drive.

You may use DelPart to delete Linux partitions, once I tried fdisk to delete them, but I couldn't.
Just do a google search and you'll find it, then create a boot disk and copy the exe file to it, boot from the disk and execute the cammand "delpart"
