FAT32 support in NT4 and 2K

Howdy

Do NT4 or 2K support FAT32 ? I know they both support FAT16 and/or NTFS. Which service packs allow FAT32 support for these
Windows versions ?

Any ideas appreciated

Thanks

Win2K has native support for FAT32
NT 4.0 has no support for FAT32 .. however there are 3rd party drivers written to give NT4 access to FAT32

2000 supports FAT32 and native NT doesn’t, but I believe there is a patch that allows NT to read and write to FAT32

Thanx

Howdy Statica

Thanks for the info. So these 3rd party drivers for NT4,
do they give you read/write access to FAT32 or only read
access ?

Where can I obtain a copy of these drivers for NT4/FAT32
access ?

Thanks

http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/freeware/fat32.shtml

That gives you a R version of FAT32 for NT4. THey have a link there to get a RW version in exchange for $$. In addition check out google search for NT4.0 & FAT32 .. http://www.inuit.se/products/winternals/fat32forwinnt/ here's one I have seen that I havent used.

The Sandman is Waiting

Thanks again for the info

I'll check those drivers out soon.

Right now it's time to dim the lights
and put down the shades (the sand man cometh)
oh and on with the eye covers
so I can get some shut eye
(before I fall off this damn chair).
