what is going on?
Hi everyone. I'm not sure this is the right channel, but here goes...
I'm currently running a pII 350 with 128mb ram, 8 gb hard drive, and generic sound and video card. My problem is, during startup, quincy pops up (aka qnc for win32) and says that there's an access violation or unknown blablabla and a notes.rip is being generated. What is this? We have MS Visual Studio 6.0 installed, but I don't use it as I have not learned yet. Also, in a somewhat different problem, I get pop ups from developer asking to debug stuff when I'm surfing. I usually say no... Any help or advice is welcome. Thanks |

I typed "quincy" in search box over at MS support. Does this help?

For the "debug" annoyance, Open IE, go to Tools, Internet options, Advanced.
Take the tick mark out of "Display a notification for every script error". |

"JIT compiler for virtual machine enabled" has nothing to do with your case, look for "Disable script debugging" and check it.

I'm not sure if this will work or not, so give it a try:
Go to Start > Run, type msconfig, go to startup, and uncheck mdm.exe |
