Message: "File Missing or Coprrut:"

When I boot my system i get this message: "Window2000 could not start because the following file isa missing or corrupt: \WINNT\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEMced startup options for Windows 2000, press F9"

This is my second week trying to avoid this message, I have done several fresh installs of the system, piece by piece. Changed memory, etc. Any suggestions?

Thanks - Henry
