multi boot setup

I would like to setup a computer that can boot to win98_SE, winXP, and Linux. Can I set this up without using any other third party software? If so how? 98 first then Linux? I dont have much experience with Linux at all, in fact almost none, so I'm not sure how it installs. If someone can help me out and give me some details that would be great.

Yes that does explain how to do it using third party software, I was wondering if I could set it up without using any third party software. I know I could do it on a dual boot with 98 & XP and then I think that it could be done with Linux & XP. I was wondering if there is anyway to do it with all 3.

I believe it could be done, you'll need to partition the drive,so each OS has it's own partition.
Install the other 2 first and XP last, you'll probably have to set up the boot info for Linux in the boot manager file.
I know XP will support other boot options,as I had the choice of XP,ME,repair console.
Perhaps others will have more insight.

3 partitions, install the dumbest OS first (Win9x) then 2k/XP, then Linux. You'll have a multi-boot manager after the install of 2k/XP and it just works.
This will give you the Linux boot loader, which is much nicer than the 2k/XP one.

OK, so that means that if I have an extra partition to put it I can install Linux on my current setup along with 98 & XP right.
