Freezing Problems

Can anyone help me. My computer setup is:-
ABIT KG7RAID
ASUS V7700TI DELUXE G/CARD
ATHLON 1.9XP
512 DDR
60GIG 5400 H/DRIVE
CPU TEMP 48 DEGREES C
DVD
CDREWRITER

My computer keeps freezing sporadically. It freezes just about while doing anything.

This is the message that keeps getting reported. Does anyone know what this is and how to fix the problem.

AMLI: ACPI BIOS is attempting to read from an illegal IO port address (0xcfc), which lies in the 0xcf8 - 0xcff protected address range. This could lead to system instability. Please contact your system vendor for technical assistance.

I assume that you are running Windows XP, so if this is the case you need to update to the latest BIOS Revision and it MAY fix this problem.

It sounds like one of your devices is causing a resource conflict.
More than likely one of your add on cards.

Hmmmm: Looks like I'm wrong. I'm glad I do not use XP.

I've seen this happen so many times...Get that CPU down to about 40c and the trouble will go away.
48c is WAY too hot for an AMD chip. Seems the stock fans just don't cut it, and every time I sell a chip, I throw in a Volcano II HS/Fan just to keep it running.
