how do I uninstall windows?
my computer keeps restarting and never loading windows all of a sudden. I tried removing drivers and various components. I think I will just remove and reload win 2000 P. How do i uninstall....or should i?

no need to uninstall,just go to cd rom 1st post in bios and install like you did the first time.

Hi jlowell,
Not that familiar with 2K, but if it's anything like 98.2, I'd consider at least removing or renaming the Windows directory, especially if you've been messing with drivers and such. I say this because just reinstalling (98.2 at least) over a bad running install doesn't always clean things up as it doesn't replace what it thinks you have. It also leaves the registry and stuff alone, so the problem may not be fixed. TwoRails |

yep....just found that out tworails. I may just Fdisk the friggin thing and go back to 98 2

Windows setup should detect that your HD already has an OS loaded, and it will ask you if you want to format prior to installation of the new OS. If not, just boot up into DOS, and then just do a format from there.

i'm kind of new to this but i just went to bios conf. to cd 1st. boot, put in w2k disk,it started install,came to fresh install checked yes,came to this will delete all info.on system said ok ,it formated hd,and every thing worked ok. should i have done something else? can't find any prob. with setup.

Sounds like you have it under control. You should have no problems as far as the install is concerned.
