Redirect where Win 2k save files

I can't remember how this is done.

I know that you can make Win 2k save your files to another hard drive or partition by having a folder 'point' to another location for example your 'c:/My Document' folder would really point to a second hard drive and actually save the info. there.

I don't know how well I've explained this but I hope one of you Guru's out there can give me a pointer or two.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Bajanine

Do you mean the installation files? Or are you referring to where things such as office programs store their files? You select the save locations for most office programs by typing in a location in a setup menu such as Preferences or Options. If you check the Help menus for the programs that are generating the files you wish to save, they will give you more exact directions.
