Win2000 running slow
Hi
Every now and again my system gets very slow. In the task manager i look to see what is going on - sometimes the icon reports 100% processor usage. Two processes seem to dominate: System idle Process 9what does that do?) and TouchManager which is a driver for my extended keyboard. If I delete Touch manager, the problem goes away. Any ideas what is going on?

Hi jash,
I've had that exact problem before with a mouse driver. If the driver is poorly written and has a memory leak it will eventually use up more and more memory and CPU time. If you can, stop using the Touch Manager, or see if there's a newer version which might fix the problem. You could even try emailing the software authors with the bug. |

I agree with Dr Zaius, check the manufactures website for an update driver or their FAQ for known problems/solutions with the keyboard.
