Hi all,
With Windows ME is there anyway to determine how much memory individual processes/applications are using........like you can do with "Task Manager" in Win NT/2000?

I don't have a WinME machine handy (but if Hal sees your post, maybe he'll visit us some info - he has one) . . . but check in your Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools folder (if that's where they put it in WinME) and look to see if you have the utilities System Monitor or Net Monitor - I think System Monitor might do the trick for tracking memory use.

If you can't see it in your System Tools folder, I believe you can add it if you have your WinME disk handy. Try Start / Settings / Control Panel / Add/Remove Programs / Windows Setup...go to Accessories, click on Details, and check the box next to System Monitor to install it.

There are some freeware/shareware titles that do this too, you could browse the utility downloads over a PC Magazine = most are free.

. . . Gary

Here's a link to a task manager made for win98/ME:

Edit: Here's a freeware version:

thanks....I had tried system monitor but it didn't quite give me what I was looking for. I'll try downloading a freeware task manager version.
