How to transfer music to my computer from CD?

I finally got my hands on a cd of Ray Noble's orchestra and now I want it on my computer for convenientn listening. What do I need to do and how can I transfer the music from CD to pc to make it .MP3 format?

For the highest quality MP3 ripping, use Exact Audio Copy along with LAME encoder...

It's a complicated setup, but you'll find a link to a tutorial in the start menu folder after installation.

Use CDex if you don't want the setup hassle of EAC.

Another vote for CDex. As good as EAC is no one, and I mean no one can tell the difference between a rip from either and CDex is much easier to use.

Sorry the link doesn't seem to work right now, but it can be downloaded from other sources such as this one and is easier to use than EAC, plus it uses the Lame encoder also.

I've had problems with CDex before...it was one specific CD I had that it never liked...and just a few other random mis-handled rips.
