Question Corrupt PAC File Error Message?

HI PCMech Members,

Any ideas what might cause a corrupt PAC File error message when attempting to reload Windows ME on a Toshiba Notebook? I can get the program to load most of the way before the error message appears. Does this problem have anything to dop with a CDROM drive or defective RAM?

Thanks

CRL

It could be defective ram - or overheating - or a dirty CD - or a dirty CD drive.
