Annoying problem
This problem started for apparently no reason, and is more of an annoyance than an emergency, but if you can help I'd really appreciate it.
Here's what used to happen: If I highlighted multiple jpg's and open them all at once, one explorer window would open up maximized and every picture would be in that one window; to scroll through them, I'd just click Forward or Back, like a website. Here's what happens now: If I highlight mulitple jpg's and open them all at once, each one opens in a separate window (not maximized). I went to folder options and made sure "Open each folder in the same window" was selected, but it still gives me that problem. I notice something that may have to do with it: on my friends computer, which is opening them all in the same window the way I want mine to do, the jpg icons look like white pages with a pencil drawing a picture in the middle. On my computer, the jpg icons look like white pages with a little internet exploer "e" in the middle. Can anyone help? |

On your computer, jpg files are associated with Internet Explorer. On your friend's, they are associated with another program. We all have our preferences, but I use Irfanview (a free image viewer/editor). This will do exactly what you want if you associate it with your image files.

Thanks for Irfanview, it's pretty cool.
However, on my friend's comp, when he double clicks a jpg, it opens up in IE also, only it's the way I described previously. What's the deal? |
