Easiest way is do a system restore to before when you tried to install it..

Also might try this, see if the printer shows up in device manager and remove it.

newme: go into "system restore" and if it's working fine now, click on "Create a restore point". Also open "system restore settings" and make sure the turn off system restore is not checked.

also you might not have allocated enough space to System Restore. This can be done in the same area trulad is talking about.
Task Manager must also be enabled for automatic restore points to be created, usually when software is installed or after a certain amount of time (I think). Go to Start>Programs>Accessories>SystemTools>System Restore. There should be a little calendar looking thing that shows what days you can restore to, and what restore points are under those days. Each restore point is purged 90 days after it is created, or when it is manually created. |

all you need to do is make sure task manager is enabled. System Restore requires it if you want it to automatically create restore points.
If you disable Task Manager (via AdministrativeTools>Services) you can still manually creae restore points, plus I have found that putting your disk space slider for System Restore allthe way down still leaves enough room for one restore point. That last paragraph mentions the most resource conscience way of using System restore. Task Manager uses a lot of memory just to be enabled, and actually so does System Restore. Add all the disk space for the multiple restore points and you have a very busy machine. I actually don't use SR at all anymore. Bare bones baby!! CD backups and repartitions!!! Ownage! |
