How do I delete a startup program?

I installed a program called "The Fourth Day" which basically shows which part of Earth is in daylight and darkness. There is no unistaller program for it and I want it OFF my system because it is SO irritating when it loads up on boot up.

How do I get this piece of software OFF the start up and OFF my system?

Thanks for any help.

It's a nasty program, it does not even appear in Add/Remove!

I don't mind it staying installed on my PC, I just don't want it loading on startup.

Try msconfig and uncheck it from the startup menu.

I didn't know that either Win2K, NT, or XP "Had" msconfig! This is news to me.

XP has msconfig built-in and 2K you can add it by coping it from 98/ME/XP system. I don't think the same can be said for NT.

Wow I was totally misinformed, evidently. I understood that the NT OS's used different files like NTLDR for bootstrap and 9x OS's used *.ini , and that NT systems did not even utilize *.sys files as 9x Os's do.

I think all Windows versions keep the startup program information in the registry.
