unable to boot from cd rom
I had an older (2 years) computer that had W98 on it and I booted into dos, ran format c:, set the first boot device to cd rom and inserted my WinXP disc in the drive.
Now when I boot I get a "failure" message and says to insert system disk and then press any key. When I do this I get anoter failure that says invalid system disk. What am I doing wrong????? |

Strange!!! I went back to the bios and set all other boot devices to LAN and it is now installing WinXP OK.
Have never had to do this before but it appears to be installing now. Currently working on reformatting HDD. |
