Scheduled Task-quit working in XP

I recently tryed to setup an automated backup routine using MS NTBackup utility that comes with Win XP. The backup routine works manually just the way I want it to, but when I schedule it to run daily, the routine does not work at all. After realizing that it is not working, I aslo have noticed that another "Schedule Task" (overnight virus scan) is also not working. The overnight virus scan was working flawlessly up untill about a week ago, and then stopped. Any ideas on how to restore the "Shedule Task" function?
thanx in advance-bozo

Do you have a password on your user account? Windows XP needs a password on the account for task scheduler to work (at least it used to; it may be fixed with SP1, but because I don't want to mess around with that disaster I haven't been able to check). Put a password on your user account, enter that password in the tasks in Scheduler, and see if that helps.
