This is a second hand computer, when i start up word or access powerpoint etc, it says licensed to the previous owner, it's only a small thing, but i would like to change it to my name. I did it once, it came with, works 97. so i went out and brought office XP, that worked fine, but i couldn't get on with XP. So I went out and got office 2000 pro, but the thing is it put the old owners name back on it. Anyone know how to put my name back on it?.

Do a search in the microsoft knowledge base ,there is an article for changing the name there. Got to go to work or I'd look for you.

search around in the registry.
start > run > regedit > local machine > software > microsoft > search for your application and it should have the cd key and the reg details in there hope this helps. |
