PPT repeating what you say

My Professor has a stinkpad and during class he uses a PPT presentation. During the first 30minutes of class, whatever he said was repeated by the PC.

Because of the situation I couldn't just go up to his PC and figure out why but I am wondering, do any of you would know why that happened?

What? Sorry, I don't understand what you are asking, exactly

Can you clarify?

Thanks,

Jim

Picture it:
In a classroom, in front of the classroom is the professor. With him he has a Thinkpad with a 98OS, and Power Point running. Now he is speaking to us. When he is talking his PC is repeating everything he is saying with his voice. It's like someone taping him, rewinding it, and then playing it back. What app would do that? Is there something in PPT that would do that?
