Internet Explorer 5.0 cannot download
Hi all,
I have a problem with IE 5.0. I had installed Quicktime 5.0 and I don't know what happened but it corrupted the download function wihint IE 5.0 Question is, rather than having to download a newer version of IE, can I install over my current version using my WIN 98SE CD? If so, how? Thanks |

Thanks a lot galaxian, you nailed it, that was the EXACT problem I was having....my download works fine now. I backed up the registry prior to deleting the key, but I have one small question, Microsoft says to delete the following entry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Plugins\Extension My registry had a subfolder named ".exe" after "extension" as shown above. All I deleted was the .exe folder, not "extension" as well, right? |
