Does it freeze when you try to run something, freeze on boot-up, or does it just freeze while idle? What kind of apps are running in the background?

it freezes all the time.. but mostly when I have AOL open.. and then go to open winamp or windows media player... I have 128megs, but I know in todays market that nothing.. but do not think I'm asking to much of my RAM.. It usually boots up fine.. but usually doesn't stay stable for more then a half hour

First of all, nothing wrong with WinME or a Celeron.. I run both on my second machine without incident. If you want to restore to it's previous state, run the restore CD that came with the system. Be warned though that this will wipe everything out and return it to the state that it was purchased, so back up anything important. Before doing that though, you might want to consider doing an installation over top of the existing install. The install files will be under C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\CABS (or INSTALL).
