The name of the cd-rom I put in my drive will always be displayed as the first cd I put in. In other words if I put in a cd and the name is backup. When I eject the cd and put in a new cd maybe named mp3. The name displayed in windows explorer is still backup. I cant change it or hit F5 to refresh. Does any one else have this annoying problem?

Yeah I came across this before; after many troubleshooting steps, the one thing that fixed is permanetly was flashing the BIOS. Give it a shot.

Hi bg7777,
Ya, that's a pretty common problem. I've never been able to correct it. I read once, in a Computer Shopper issue that there is a Registry hack to fix the problem, but I lost the issue and never tried it.... TwoRails |
