Hi refugen420
A P3-333 is a just barely able to play DVDs. If your graphics card is top-notch, it might go OK. Check under "System Requirements", "Graphic Chipsets", "Required Software Downloads", and "Setting Up" for "Product Name = WinDVD" at the InterVideo support website: http://www.intervideo.com/jsp/Support.jsp WinDVD lists a 350mhz cpu as its minimum. It also requires DirectX 8.1 - which means your video card/onboard video needs to have a driver that can handle DX8.1. And if this is the system that was stuck in 16 colors because you hadn't got the drivers in yet: you've got some work to do. What DVD player? does it have a hardware decoder? or not? (some older DVD players had separate cards with hardware decoders on them just for the DVD drive to use for playback). Even if it doesn't play all that smoothly, we should be able to get you a picture eventually. . . . Gary |
