No ' disable cookies' in IE ver. 6 ??

I downloaded the latest upgrade for IE a couple of days ago but there no longer seems to be any option in Tools>options>security> custom, to disable cookies. Has this function been cancelled ? or put somewhere else ?

Thanks,
Chris.

You'd think that if Bill was on our side instead of the merchants
he would put a simple, visible button on the toolbar so you could easily toggle it on and off as required instead of wading through dozens of windows every time. Cheez !!
A separate cache where you could store cookies you WANT to keep, like registration for this site, would be nice but I'm sure they've got some 'good' reason why thats not possible.

Thanks, Carl

What you could do is visit all the sites you need cookies from. Then go though and delete the ones you don't need (such as ones from pop-up ads), then set the browser to block cookies. So, all you have are your registration cookies and no others can get in.

Parangles,
Here is a small, free program called Cookie Viewer. No ads or spyware come with it.
It allows you to see where the cookie is from, how long it would stay on your system, and allows you to delete them. I use it all the time.

Kubie, I installed it and deleted selected cookies in the Cookies folder, that it displayed. Then I used its search feature on C:\ but it did not find any of the numerous cookies that were in the Windows\Temp Internet folder. I'll give it another try in a few days. Thanks,
Chris.
