I am running XP Pro on 1.3 Ghz AMD and the original keyboard the custom pc came with had some keys that didnt work, so I bought a Belkin classic 102 key/PS/2. Sometimes when I turn on the pc the keyboard does not work, but it doesnt happen every time. So I shut down and restart and it will pick it up. Does anybody have idea on what could cause this. It doesnt have drivers with this board, windows detects most of the time. There is no sleep keys on this either. I called Belkin and they sent a replacement and it now is doing the same thing.

Hi tdhart,
Sounds like it could be a bad PS/2 port on the motherboard. You can avoid it by using a USB keyboard. |
