troubleshooting expert needed please

I had a crash recently and reformated drive and started all over again thinking it was do to my errors. Ive now reinstalled win88se and then I did something that I never thought was the culprit, but I took out the ISA ethernet card which I use for my high speed connection. Im not on a network It just that I live in a city high rise and you need a ethernet card to hookup. I was using a ISA card, becacuase the PCI card was trying to conflict iwht sound card. I bought the ISA network card at a used shop for a couple bucks first mistake. But I did take it out and then windows started freaking out similar to my last crash in which I did the smae thing. Only in this case I get the blue scrren that says that windows is unstable and do you want to continue. This is where I stop and say no.
So on startup, after windows logo and it starts into desktop background I get this bluescreen that says this
" your windows configuration is invalid invalid vxd dynamic link call from vs data 95(01) +00010F 88 to device 0028 service 800A your
windows confriguration is invalid. and then again I get the warning your computer could become unstable.
Im wondering if there is something I can do. Ive gone to system
properties and removed the network and this nis2driver.
Im just wondering if windows is still thinking I need a network confiquration and if there is anyway to save my system .
Im looking for some really solid sound advice here, from someone who really knows there stuff and can give me some good directions. PLease give me a hand here.

did you you remove the network card from device manager before you pulled the card out.you should have removed it from device manager and then shutdown remove card and reboot.if you didnt you might have to remove network card from device manager shutdown put your card back in let it reinstall, then remove the way i said the first time.usually dynamic link call error message is incompatibility between driver versions or damaged /missing drivers.was that a clean install of 98 ,fdisk, format?you said you were having probs before the os reinstall ,were they the same errors.

Vsdata95 is a ZoneAlarm file.

Use these instructions to uninstall ZA

http://www.zonelabs.com/store/conte...mInstallFAQ.jsp

Then as suggested remove the card from device manager before physically removing it, and see if this helps any.

yes, i think the mixture of removing from system before removing card, and then also zonealarm running and trying to boot on startup with the vector thing.
Ive already rekmoved the card and the network drivers. I guess its time to try and uninstall zonealarm and not sure if I should reinstall zonealarm. Ive never had this problem with zonealarm until I started using this ISA network card...
but yes, this is how my computer crashed first time the removal of the ISA card. and then maybe zonealarm flips out...
anymore info on this would be greatful.

good call galaxian!! i had the Vsdata95 error message myself once and i re-installed Zone Alarm . (just couldn`t recall when/where i saw that)

i would re-install ZA and uninstall via add/remove programs or, leave it in there. i think ZA is an excellent firewall.
