Hard drive space problem

I have a problem I just formatted my hard drive after a computer rebuild. I used my Gateway restoration disk which hard a "format hard drive" option. I didn't even think about using FDISK. I installed all the drivers and a number of programs. Now I discover that windows (98se) is only recognizing 2g of a 20g hard drive. Is ther a way to get it to see all of it without losing all of the programs and set up I've done?

I do believe a third party program like Partition Magic can do the trick for you!
