Hi Zack @ izzo,

See if anything on this site helps: Windows Support Center: WinXP Shutdown & Restart Troubleshooter.

Hi Zack @ izzo,

Is ACPI enabled in BIOS?

Have you checked at the Transcend website to see if a BIOS update is available to address issues with WinXP?

Is that a PII/PIII Slot 1 motherboard?

Yes i have, i found The transcend AVD-1 BIOS (year 2000). But you see XP came latter in 2001. So they don't even know about XP issues. Anyway i have downloaded it and decompressed it on my desktop. But i realize that XP does not have MS-DOS mode like it's previous cousins. So how could it be done?
I don't kow wheather it is slot 1 or not but i could see that my Pentium III was installed like installing a RAM. which is side ways
