Boom I need help!!

Don't think I am crazy, ok?

When I shut down my computer at night and I shut it down properly, before I wake the next morning my computer has powered itself up all by itself.

I built this computer and I must have some BIOS settings or something wrong. Someone please help me straighten this problem out.

Please email me with the solution and guidance.

I am running Windows ME and I have a Intel 1.7 processor if this helps.

littledebby@charter.net

Thanking you in advance,
Debby

Hi littledee,
Welcome to PCMechanic!

Sometimes, but not all, a restarting pc can be a low CMOS battery.

Replace the battery. They're very reasonably priced and you can get them at many places.

Hi littledee, welcome to the PC Mech forums!

Go into the BIOS and check the Power On options, there should be a monitor, keyboard, and some other possible ones, turn them all off.

Check the BIOS for WOL, WOR, any "wake on" feature.
Usually found in the power options section.
