motherboard upgrade
I intend to upgrade my motherboard, processor and RAM but keep all other existing hardware including the hard drive which contains and boots Windows 98. When I have connected the new motherboard etc, will I be able to boot into windows from the exising hard drive and use all existing hardware or do I have to reload all drivers ?

Hello Norman:
And welcome to PCMECH, where if we can't fix it, it can't be fixxed!! Yes you can use existing hard drive but you are correct in that all drivers will have to be reloaded. Look in these forums under tips&tricks and there is a little registry trick called the ENUM trick that really makes it a snap. You may find you have to remove your printer and reinstall though after you have new parts in and windows up and running on new hardware!!
