Windows Explorer

I have problems with Windows Explorer.....
Display Computerfiles.

I am working with Windows XP Home Edition.
I tried to install "Wireless AniPoint Home Network" by Intel downloaded the newest drivers for XP and my results are, not a working Windows Explorer.
When I open Win Ex. and click on a file it stops for about 1minute and all my icons on the dasktop disapear. Next the Desktop shows up normal exept some icons in the taskbar on the right are gone untill I reboot again.
I uninstalled AniPoint and diconnected the USB wireless units
then I Restored the System to my previous date no luck.
Tried to reinstall Windows but with no luck.
Defraged all my HD no luck.
Is there a way to reinstall only Win.Explorer.??
or am I going to end up installing a clean XP again.
Thank you for any help
Arnold

Can you note specifically what programs are not being started to the system tray? Maybe a software conflict. You would have to consult some other user for the specific method to disable an app from the startup.bat in XP, as I am strictly avoiding XP.
