XP SP1 thing

Heard a while back about XP SP1 having something which installs a new username for Microsoft to be able to control your PC... any truth in this or just scaremongering?

It was here I heard it actually I'm sure!

Rumor. The only thing in XP or SP1 is the auto update feature that you can turn off. I always laugh at the Microsoft collecting data about you stuff. Just for a minute stop and think of the number of computers running Microsoft Programs/Operating Systems in the world. Then think about the amount of money that would have to be invested, not only in hardware, but in software and employees to gleen the stuff the rumors tell us they are collecting.

In fact, with the SP1 update you can actually delete IE and Outlook. Something I havn't been able to do before on other OSes I used.
