Question Running XP with 2 moniters?

Im looking to run my XP Home with 2 17" 770TT Samsung LCD's. How do I go about doing it? I have a Geforce 3 Ti200, but X-mas is coming. Is it possible to run the moniters seperate (as if each had their own computer)? Please Help!

If my understanding is correct, the answer is no, the two monitors actually are just an extension of the one OS (XP in this case) across more pixel real estate, you can run a game (in a window) on one screen while having other apps up and visible on the other screen for example.

What you need is a video card that has two outputs, or two video cards (not as easy a solution) If you are already in the market for a new VC make sure it has the dual output for each monitor, if you are going with another (ie agp and pci video card) try to get them with the same software at the core, ie two ati's etc. You will have fewer (not none just fewer) problems if you go with two cards and they both use the same drivers.

look for a card like this for multiple screens, you will need one with dual DVI I beleive for the flat screens (or an adapter for one to go VGA but I hear the adapters are not so great performers)
