how to adjust vol by using speakers?

having this problem of when sometimes i can't adjust my computer's volume from the speakers. i have a 2.1 speaker setup. they are altec lansing speakers. I just want to know if it is possible to always be able to control the volume by the using the speaker volume adjuster. usually i have to go into the volume control panel to adjust vol. and that gets tiring. any help be appreciated. thanks.

Hi bhome83,

Is the vol control on the speakers just plain not working?? I'm not sure I understand. On my setup, I keep the computer volumn up about 3/4, and use the vol knob on my speakers for the fine adjustment....
