how do I restore deleted files?

I deleted some files yesterday like a .txt file and I emptied it from the recycle bin. Is there any such way to restore that file?
My specs are on my signature.

Hi bball_1523,

It can be done but you'll need to buy a software program to do it

Hi bball_1523,

Welcome to PC Mechanic !!

Well, there are quite a few "un-delete" type of utilities. Everyone I've seen all work basically the same. The file is Not actually deleted, just the first character of the file name is changed to a special one so that Windows knows that it can use that space on the hard drive where that file is located.

That the rub... (assuming everything is on the same drive: ) The next time Windows want to write to disk, it will see this space as "free" and will write to that area. So, if your Swap File needs to grow, you've lost that area. The same for Browser cache files, and even the download of one of those utilites will over write that area.

So, the whole trick in recovering deleted is to have the utility Already installed, and use it Immediately After deleting the file.

Hi bball_1523

Yes, most likely the file is affected, but you can always give it a try! Sometimes, things workout oddly OK
