new MB CPU Old HD?

I am replacing MB, CPU, and Ram. What problems will I run into if I use my old HD
running XP Pro? Is it better to reformat and reinstall?
Thanks

No,

The ENUM trick will not work with W2K or XP.

glc did come up with a method for W2K

http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.p...threadid=43654

but as yet, no one has reported using it with XP.

Unless you want to experiment, I think your easiest option is to backup your data, wipe the HD, and do a clean install of XP.

You can't go wrong with that approach.

From what I hear, XP can take care of itself very nicely here all by itself.
