Exclamation serious error?!

ok,
every now and then when i boot up my computer it comes to the winXP welcome screen, restarts and then when the desktop loads an alert pops up saying that windows has just recovered from a serious error. any help??

Check over in ControlPanel>Administrative Tools>EventViewer>System, and there you will see what kind of errors your system is encountering. You can tell by the date and time. You will probably end up doing a repair/reinstall. You can just boot from the winxp CD and you will get to an option to repair the existing winxp install. That should fix it, but see what is causing it first over there in event viewer, cause maybe it is a device or driver problem.
