CRASH XP internet Explorer connection

When I start Internet Explorer in Windows XP, dail up box is coming and connecting to my ISP through 56K modem and stay connected.

But I am unable to use the explorer to go to a web site. Explorer is not responding.

Its say can’t find server.

How can I over come this problem.?

Has it ever worked?? Perhaps your ISP uses a proxy to connect to the internet and in that case you will have to have your proxy settings in IE. It probably is just a simple setting under internet options>connections tab that needs set, if not proxy then set it for automatically detect settings!

Check those IE settings under the connections tab and it probably should be set to automitically detect. Under the general tab, clear temp internet files.
