iipm.exe

Can anyone shed any light on this program ?

I'm having problems starting just about anything because this program has taken control of all Applications and says it needs it to run everything (so it seems !).

TIA

Are you sure of the spelling for that executable? There are no hits for that anywhere on the net (either on AltaVista or Google). If the .exe is left off, a bunch of references to the Indian Institute of Planning and Management, plus some oil industry stuff, come up. Not real promising.

Did you download/install anything recently?

If it is ipm.exe it could be an internet proxy manager.
Do a virus scan
Download/run Spybot Search and Destroy from http://www.lurkhere.com/~nicefiles/index.html

And finally reload Windows on top of your present install to repair it.

I suspect a virus and I had the same results with search engines.

I'm trying the Spybot to try.

iipm.exe is the correct name and it has taken control of opening applications so I'm in trouble here !

I'll come back later.
