ie6 history problems

hey everybody,
i've got ie6 running on a winXP home machine with all updates (except .NET). there are three different profiles on this machine and McAfee antivirus 6 and firewall if that makes a difference. my problem is that the history in in internet explorer has never worked. sometimes i'll be able to see about 5 or 6 sites in the "view by most visited" section however i know i've visited far more sites and i'd like to be able to view them the normal way by date for the past 20 or however many i choose, days. any help or suggestions or words from anyone with the same problem would be greatly appreciated. thanks,

josh

so far i've just left it at the default 20 days...i don't think that's the problem, i think it's something to do with where ie is storing my page history...can anyone help with this? thanks...

History - Not Being Saved

McAfee gave this solution to the bug where VirusScan 6 stops your Internet Explorer History file working. Hope it is of some help:

Open VirusScan console
Select "Pick a task..."
Select "Change my VirusScan settings"
Select "Configure VShield background scanning"
Select "Customise your VShield settings"

Select the "Internet Filter" icon from the icons down the left hand side On the "Detection" tab, in the 'Applet filters' section, remove the tick next to "ActiveX Controls".
