Lexmark & XP Problem

I updated my drivers for my Lexmark 2030. But XP rejects it. I get a message saying its not approved by Windows....any suggestions?

Cool

I have successfully installed several things on my PC running XP by ignoring that message and continuing with the install. May work with your printer. I haven't had that problem as much since I applied SP1.

You didn't read the message that popped up on the install correctly. If you had you would have noticed that it stated,

" The cheap jerks at Lexmark refused to pay a tribute to Microsoft in order to have their drivers validated. If they had we would not have to try an scare you away from installing these drivers that you got from Lexmark. However if you believe us over Lexmark, may we suggest that you throw the Lexmark away and buy any Hewlett Packard Product. Not only do they produce a very high quality product, they are also quick to pay us."

I actually had to get rid of my HP OJ710 because it did not pay homage to M$. There are XP drivers available that I got from HP, and I just click yes to all those warnings about not being approved for XP, and it loads but just doesn't work well with XP. My Lexmark Z42 works great and had native drivers with winXp.

If your 2030 works fine with the original drivers, why are you trying to update them? If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
