I give up with XP

If you've read the thread about me trying to re install XP on my new build, you know what I've gone through. After trying to fdisk and format and install Win ME my lack of computer knowledge is blatently apparent. I have given the thing to the PC guru at work and am waiting anxiously for his call. I fear that perhaps I have in some way damaged the thing beyond repair. I thank you all, especially Cricket, Reboot, and Mike Breck for you patience and time spent trying to educate me in the finer workings of the computer. Alas, is wasn't to be. If,,and when,, my friend gets it up and running I will post here quickly to let you all know. Thanks again, C E Smith "suitcase"
