Whats The Diffence Between Win2k Sever And Win2k Pro
what IS the difference between these two operating systems, i was consider making a small network and have both operating systems, but am stuck on which one to use, so what are the benifits?

The correct answer is about $1000.
But seriously, with the pro version, you can only have peer-peer networking. With the server, you can have a client-server relationship where things are controlled more by the server rather than by the individual machine. The server gives you the ability to run as a domain server, file server, web server, etc. The server version is more powerful but a good bit harder to setup and manage. |

If you just want to run a home network, go for 2000 Pro. Win2k Server is made mostly for buisness networks.
