Pissed hELP bOOT UP me OR mONITOR

pC PLAYING UP OR MONITOR
Screen seems to be calobrating with lights flashing permantly

have got it to work once then had to re install windows and was fine
next day the same has happened the screen froze and then the monitor will not work lights on it seem to constantly flash as though it is calobrating

cant get anything on the screen as it won't come up
any ideas
This is windows ME and 750mhz processor
126 ram

Try booting into SafeMode & see it the display works OK with the 16-color Standard VGA driver.

If so, check in Device Manager - look for red Xs, yellow exclamation points, or devices that don't match what you have (especially under video[display] & monitor) . . .

You might have either a bad video driver, or the refresh rates aren't correct for your monitor (might need to find an .inf file from the website of the monitors manufacturer).

[oh, and check the monitors cable - is it loose near the back of the monitor - or where it connects to the video card?]
